Ah, Spring

Yellow, pink, lavender, and green! Oh, boy, color is returning to our yard and field. What a spirit-lifter!

Sky View and Down to Earth

last year's glittery eggs

grandkids' painted eggshells from 2009

collection of wooden, tin, and Hallmark plastic eggs

On my way to get the Friday morning newspaper I looked up to see traffic patterns in the sky. I scooted back inside for my camera and snapped these three photos before the jet trails faded away. Saturday was full...late breakfast lunch at Ryan's with hubby, time at the booth, and a nice afternoon visit with Mom. Grandkids were here today, and they spotted their Easter eggs from last year. Here's to making memories whenever and wherever we can... xo, Sandy

A Little Bit of Decorating

I know I sound like a broken record when I say again and again how fast time seems to zip by. It will be Easter before I can pull a few decorations out of the closets. The new little white bird...he's a Dollar Tree find that may work into some sort of spring display. Take care, and Happy Spring!

Changes

We are starting to clear out the white house next door. We're seriously thinking about renting it this summer and beyond. Therefore, my studio over in the white house is no more. However, I did move tables and supplies to one wall in my mom's former apartment. Maybe one day soon I'll get back into art. The bare wall is driving me crazy.

A Day Trip to Savannah

Meet three dear friends. Carla and I met in college, and then we would meet Anne and Fran when we secured our very first teaching positions. We share a past history full of memories. We spent the day in Carla's hometown of Savannah, TN.

Cherry Mansion served as headquarters for General Ulysses S. Grant in the spring of 1862.

The whole day was lovely - perfect weather, great food, gorgeous scenery, and being with special friends to share old memories and to make new ones.

Mishmash

When my dad had cancer and only weeks to live I gave him this dog sculpture to sit on his bedside table. Sometimes I couldn't speak words to express my feelings, but this little dog conveyed how baffled and worried I was...also my love and concern.

This cup and saucer is from my mother's collection. For now it's displayed on a wooden tray in the guest bedroom. She and I share a fondness for the color green.

~pretty pitchers all in a row~
While at the store booth today I learned that four more items had sold. Yippee!!
It is exciting to see which objects are chosen by shoppers.

Sometimes it's hard to part with stuff I've had for a long time, but honestly I've accumulated way too much over the years. I like to think of the new owners being happy with their finds.

Yep, you know for sure it's spring when buttercups are blooming here, there, and everywhere. Love 'em!

Hope your day has been pleasant and productive.
I'm just happy that WONDERFUL spring is here.
