Little Bits of Happiness

Happy to get my first vaccine.

Happy to be inside on this wintry day.

Happy to have reached the letter W in the Tuesday Instagram alphabet challenge.
I posted Willow Tree for my entry. Love these figures for their simplicity and beauty as they convey powerful emotions.

"Heart and Soul" is a special one in my collection.

Happy to mail some art tags I had made.

Happy to post today and wish you a Happy Valentine's Day on Sunday.

Is It Friday?

Losing track of days is part of this whole pandemic experience. A week passes by and I wonder what have I done. Thank goodness for books, art, and television. One day I did escape to two thrift locations for browsing. But wearing a mask does take some of the joy out of shopping. Therefore, I stay home a lot. Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest are safer places to browse as virus infections increase. I really enjoy the IGTV videos by Rachel Ashwell.

 Painting flowers makes me happy.
Love bubble wrap.

Angel paintings are comforting, especially this thought that was in a song title -
Jesus  the sunshine of my soul.

Rubber stamping is something I haven't done in a long while.
Had a good time creating these tags this afternoon.

Two Friday Facts

*I enjoy art.
It has been a long time since I created some tags.
I liked making these today, using paper scraps and rubber stamps.

Flower paintings are growing in number.
Hard to stop since they're fun to do.

*I enjoy real flowers.

The irises are so pretty this year.

I have my mother to thank for these lovely plants.

Every day I check on them, and today these three got their picture taken.

Sunshine Before the Rain

I walked over to the art room to take a photo of my latest flower painting and received a nice surprise. The sunlight striking the flower painting was an unexpected pleasant sight.

This afternoon has been windy, rainy, and stormy. I spent some time working on tags. Two recent sets: Anniversary and Christmas

Studio Time

I worked with tiny frames and embellished them with background paper, scraps, or stamps. I used pages from an old shorthand book. I don't know how individuals were able to master shorthand.

I also like to put tags with flower frogs.
These and the small frames above are headed to the booth.

Redid my JOY sign.

Update

Relaxing time in the "studio" gave me a chance to finish tag sets.

A visit to Plantation Antiques allowed me to check on my booth and others.
I found two brass objects.

Cupid

I liked the little brass frog because it opens up. He's the newest member of the windowsill group.

I'm Out of Practice

Four of these were some I had on hand and put together as a birthday greeting for a sweet lady at my church. Time to work up some new ones.

A bit of rambling...

favorite chair
I love to sink into this chair. It has a prominent place in the den. Grandkids like it, too. Toys and crumbs end up along  its sides and on the floor. The ottoman is popular with the little ones as a bouncing seat.
A flea market wood pedestal was added to the kitchen to hold our Roma tomatoes. Also new to the kitchen is the lovely lady on the clip magnet. Pennee gave me the Kelly Rae Roberts surprise on Mother's Day.

Time to Myself

Messy, wet, cold...an inside day.

Stamped my way toward a good mood.

Baked a batch of sugar cookies to go with afternoon coffee.
Mood is much better by now.

Read about other people's lives and their problems.
Gee, my problems don't seem so bad.

Life is good.
