One Fast Month

I can hardly believe the first month of 2015 is history...gone forever. I'm thankful for my personal journal entries. They reveal I did embrace those days.

Today I carried three sacks to Goodwill. More deliveries will be coming. I am reducing my stuff. Slowly but surely.

Another stop was at the antique store to work in my booth.

These are the three wood candlesticks I bought recently from another vendor. I am undecided about the candle color for the set. I just love the shapes and patina of the wood.

I really hate to see January go as we didn't have snow. I always associate snow with this month. However, I feel bad for those areas that got way too much.

Middle of the Week

Time marches on. I have been...

puttering around the house,

enjoying the grandkids,

watering to keep garden plants alive in this intense heat,

and spending time with my mom.
A friend told me to take lots of pictures of my mom. She recently lost her own mom to Alzheimer's so she understands. So I held out the camera with my right hand and snapped away. This was probably the best shot. The lighting is bad, and neither one of us needs closeups. But who cares. I will appreciate them more and more as time marches on.

Candlestick Centerpiece

I love candlesticks any time of the year. However,
at Christmas they seem even more beautiful. The
photo shows an easy yet lovely way to showcase
candlesticks. A simple green wreath has been
placed around them with pretty ornaments
sitting on top. I have mine on the bottom shelf of a washstand, but it could be the centerpiece of a dining table.
