Hearts

For a long time I have collected hearts. February's symbol of love and affection
is noticeable year-round at our place.

With Valentine's Day so close, hearts just naturally come to mind. I've shared hearts in past posts so you may see repeats. Hard to believe I have been posting for seven years. A heartfelt thank you for your visits, comments, and encouragement.

Sentimental Hearts

I guess you can tell from recent posts that I'm fond of hearts. Some were given to me, and others were purchased at antique and gift shops. A particular caption in my senior high school yearbook started it all. A friend borrowed a line from Shakespeare and changed it to "Her heart is ever at your service." Since that time I have been a collector of hearts. . .brass, glass, porcelain, ceramic, wood, stone. It's a collection that has sentimental value.

Hooray for Hearts

I'm happy that February, the month of hearts and Valentines, has made its entrance. The tag in the old flower frog was created by artist Colette Copeland(http://a-bird-in-the-hand.blogspot.com/).

Treasures of the Heart

This pillow was a wonderful gift from a very special friend. The fall colors on it are perfect for this time of year. The message is soooooo true.

The heart inside a heart . . .displayed flat or leaning. . . is a real favorite of mine. I found the hearts at different times but decided to keep them together.

A phone call yesterday from a longtime friend (we go back to our youthful college days) made any problems seem so much lighter. How wonderful it is to know someone who can say the right words at the right time! Some time ago she gave me the framed picture below. I love the message and enjoy it every day.
