Spring Mood

With the great weather the past few days I have been outside more, and my mood has definitely improved. Yesterday I removed leaves from the flowerbeds and noticed there's hope for returning plants.

While I wait for real blooms on the outside, I enjoy these artificial ones inside.

As always I've been rearranging...a never-ending practice that keeps me happy. The two grapevine wreaths are hiding that crazy outlet that's in the wrong place above the mantel.

Some spring decorations are starting to appear.
Rabbits and eggs are the main attractions.

These polka dot ones are my new favorites.

Happy Spring!

Oh Happy Day!

Art Studio

I came across this inexpensive decorative sign and added it to a shelf in the art room. A day doing art is HAPPY.

In The Right Direction

I really like this iron piece...a Walmart home decor item. This was a "Dirty Santa" gift one Christmas that everyone tried to steal. The last time I checked at Walmart it was available at the same low price of $9.98. Two old Tennessee law books provide a perfect pedestal. By the way, I have been trying to do some spring cleaning around here...reducing clutter and adding different items to the booth. Sometimes I wonder who buys what. Recently I borrowed an idea from a Martha Stewart magazine. Inside a tall jar with a zinc lid I placed a paper image of birds perched near a nest. I decided to add a pinecone and a green sprig of needles to the inside...also tied on a twine bow to complete the nature theme. Well, I am happy to report it sold right away. I wonder who liked it enough to give it a home.

Spring Displays

Since the calendar turned to lovely April, I thought I'd share a few spring decorations at my house. Hope you are able to take away a tiny bit of inspiration. Oh, by the way, the sand and glitter technique for Easter eggs demonstrated by Tracy Porter is beautiful. I love the result! I'll try to post a picture soon. Have a great first Wednesday in this new month of promise.
Sandy
