Cold Inside and Out

For several days I've been  dealing with a nagging cold. Since Mother  Nature gave us

cold temperatures and snowy conditions last night,

I will have to enjoy the white stuff from inside this time.  

Snow Fun

Gunner and I had a day of fun in the snow. We had plans to make a large snowman, but it was too much work. We settled on this little guy. We used a small carrot for his nose, almonds for the eyes and mouth, and furniture coasters for buttons. Before coming inside to warm up, we had a snowball exchange. He claimed victory, and so did I!

We woke up to an unexpected winter wonderland.

Snowy Day

These shiny inexpensive boots from Walmart were not on my wish list, but hubby bought them for me this morning. I'm glad he did because my feet stayed warm and dry while getting these pictures.

Wintry Mix

Winter returned last night, bringing sleet, ice, and snow. I braved the chill early this morning to snap a few pictures. . . also snapped an inside photo of another way I display butter pats. Tomorrow we'll probably clear away all the broken limbs. Too bad lovely ice causes all kinds of problems. However, our light dusting is nothing compared to what others are experiencing this winter.
