April Loves

FLOWERS* EASTER* GRANDDAUGHTERS* ART

April has been delivering colorful surprises.

Fun baskets were for the little ones.

I am still putting paint to paper in my art journal.

Olga came by and finally selected her Christmas gift of an art piece. I'm so pleased that two of my favorite angels will be treasured by this lovely person.

Wish I Could Think of a Title

Tonight I'm just going to jump in and start writing about ordinary things. However, to me they are noteworthy.

Once again I have been rearranging a few things here at the house. Also tackling our weird den mantel that has the two vents and an outlet to hide.

The placement of the two prints may be a bit odd, but I think I'm liking it.

My friend Carla has written a second book. She lives in Savannah, Tennessee, and shares within the book stories about people and places that have enriched her life. It's an interesting read with personal recollections and advice.

These delightful little blooms make me smile.

When my granddaughter was first born and there were complications I did this small painting to remind myself not to give up hope.

Tallulah is growing and thriving, and hopefully with patience, training, and lots of love she will be fine.

June Jitters

Just thinking about how fast 2022 is moving along gives me the jitters. My goodness, June is already here.

The state of the world and our own USA also gives me the jitters.

To take my mind off such things I spend time in the studio space

or go outside.

 Happy Anniversary to us!
We celebrated 33 years on June 8, 2022.

Flowers

A few blooms have made their appearance.

Planters near the front doors have blooms, too, thanks to Lowes.

And then I've been painting flowers.

Messy enjoyment!

I like these soft colors. One flower got the baking soda/paint technique.

Pretty in Pink

Such a beautiful day!

I'm fond of this recent flower painting because of the colors.

With Mother's Day approaching I decided to pull out some wonderful photos of my mother. I love the one of her in the pink gown. She shared that it was a borrowed dress from a girlfriend.

Pleasures

Painting is one of the most relaxing things I do. It keeps my mind occupied as I fill a blank canvas with color.

Garden blooms are also nice.

Familiar objects inside make me happy, too.

Corkey and I noted our 30th anniversary on June 8th. We enjoyed a quiet celebration, dining out at a local restaurant. So thankful to be together.

A Garden Stroll

A few blooms are starting to appear in the garden areas of the yard.

In time there will be more blooms...hopefully!

Love looking up and seeing all the green.
