A Splendid Start to March

It was a beautiful and sunny day for an outdoor birthday party celebration.

Precious Tallulah was two on Sunday March 5th.

Lauren and Justin are such good parents to sweet Tallulah.

And Baby Makes Three

On March 5, 2021, Lauren and Justin welcomed Tallulah Grace into the world.

I'm leaning toward a nickname already - Tally. We shall see which affectionate name sticks. Mother and baby are at the hospital for a few more days. Feeling very thankful.

A Mixture of Feelings

From August until November I have experienced great joy, heartache, relief, and hope. Lauren's pregnancy has been a source of happiness and stress. With complications discovered through ultrasounds and tests she and Justin are bravely facing unknown symptoms. Their little girl is due in late March and is already dearly loved. Although at times emotionally upsetting we know it's all in God's hands and are praying for the best outcome.

Art Notes

These India ink drawings are from decades ago. I am still taking part in the alphabet challenge on Instagram. I is for India ink. I have always liked the stark simplicity of black ink on white paper, but these white pages have faded over the years.

This is a new canvas.

This new month has given us some beautiful autumn days. Corkey and I are enjoying the simple pleasures of sitting in our backyard swing, watching the birds, and seeing the leaves drift to the ground.

Days to Enjoy

December is hectic and exciting as well as joyful and peaceful. It's a month that gets by all too quickly.

Jo and Gunner help to string lights. It has become a tradition.

I get to pull out lovely Christmas treasures.

It's fun to try new arrangements.

I like how the hutch got a new look for the holidays.

Love showing off vintage ornaments.

Today seven of us made a trip to Reelfoot Ministries. We delivered 39 bicycles and other toys to their facility which aids needy families at Christmastime. We were thankful for the discounts that Walmart gave on many of the bikes.

Well, it's time to finish this post and head to bed. I have a big blessing tonight. My son Ryan who lives in Oakland, California, is safe. He was not at the location that had the tragic fire. However, he is worried about friends who may have been there. Praying.

Special Evening

It was a lovely Saturday night for a celebration.

Happy to meet Justin's mother and stepfather. Lauren and Justin have been dating for four years, and this engagement party gave us the opportunity to get acquainted.

A March Hello

Today was a major errand day since white stuff is in the forecast for Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Had a fine ride to Hobby Lobby this morning. Loving my new Jeep Cherokee more and more but still miss the older Jeep Liberty I drove for years. What fun to use my Christmas gift card from Lauren!

After a soup and salad lunch at home Corkey and I decided to pay a few bills this afternoon. In the car we received a wonderful cell phone call from Lester. He's now Dr. Clowes! He successfully defended his dissertation in the field of education at the University of Southern California. We're definitely proud of his accomplishment.

Did you see Downton Abbey's final episode of the season? Ah, Christmas in March. Loved it!
