You have heard that saying " The Quest Is The Best," and it's certainly what I enjoy. Friday afternoon before shopping for grocery essentials like bread, milk, and eggs I went browsing and took my time looking at booth after booth. Here are a few items that caught my eye.

This J was part of the name sign to a booth.

I really liked this narrow architectural piece.

But I talked myself out of it.

This garden angel made me think of spring. 

I picked up two small brass owls and was about to call it a day. Then I went back to one booth I had stopped by earlier. I noticed a basket on the floor with some picture frames. I looked through them and found a piece of art. I recognized the signature and wondered could it be for real. 

The $7.95 price tag encouraged me to buy it.  

When I got home I checked on DeAnn Hebert's Instagram page to review her artwork. For a long time I have loved her depiction of churches, barns, dancers, and cottonfields. I've even tried to copy her style in a few of my amateur paintings. I love the way she uses blues, browns, grays, and golds.

Needless to say, I was thrilled with my bargain find.

So you just never know what you will find as you take part in the quest.

Moving Objects

Hi from my home to yours. Spent some time rearranging, my never-ending domestic activity or so it seems. Really happy with this grouping of pictures.

Decided to place them on the round tray I recently acquired in Texas. Looking at these precious pictures brings back wonderful memories. I also remember  with fondness the photographer/artist Miss Wanda Rice who captured the early years of my son and daughter.  

Also changed what was above this desk in the guest bedroom. The wire rack came down, and the mementoes from it ended up on the silver wood tray that's on the dresser.

I had a couple of visitors today for lunch. Gunner and Nicolas stayed the afternoon and made cards for their mother's birthday. 

Hard to believe that Nick will be a third grader. 

Before I end this post, I want to close with a quote. Wanda Rice had this quote on a bulletin board in her studio. She had handwritten it on an index card. Miss Wanda would be surprised that I still have that index card (and other cards) she gave me.

Forms of Art

Sometimes a bold splash of color attracts attention. This booth item caught my eye, and its price was ridiculously low at four dollars.

A sale discount lowered it to three dollars. Now that's a steal if you like modern art. On the back was this T. J. Maxx sticker.

I propped it against a wall over in the apartment that was Mother's. Red was one of her favorite colors. It added a pop of color. 

Another art picture is hanging in a patient waiting room at my doctor's clinic. It's a soothing picture with a peaceful scene. Wish I could have brought it home. 

I happen to like both art forms. However, the house in the field is more me.
