Ninth Month Wonders

My Aunt Clara Belle was 103 yesterday. Wish I could have spent it with her. This picture of her was taken in September of 2018. Wish she could meet sweet Tallulah. But too many years and distance and circumstances separate them.

The Sunday rainbow was a glorious sight. We were returning from a Memphis visit with Tallulah when we witnessed the rainbow while traveling on Wilkinsville Road. I snapped these two pictures from our moving vehicle.

The view below was from our front yard.

Even though fall is approaching I am still painting flowers.

I am ready for fall's cooler days. And as this message says summer quickly changed into fall.

A Quick Update

Little by little I'm putting out fall decor.

Still painting every now and then

My dear daughter turned 40! I was looking at her baby books recently, and precious memories came flooding back.

Visits to see sweet Tallulah have been wonderful. We were there this afternoon and  enjoyed every minute.

September is a month that seems to go by quickly. Therefore, I'm hopping on here tonight to say "Hello" since lovely September days are moving along at a fast pace.

Joys

Yesterday and today were outstanding back-to-back days. On Saturday while Lauren and Justin unpacked boxes and organized their household belongings, I got to hold and rock Tallulah Grace.

Lauren and Justin like to create art. They also collect the art of other people.
This is only a small sample of what they have.

Today their daughter is six months old.
It's been an unforgettable six months.

My heart was full as I sat in church and thanked God for granting this miracle.

There may be challenges ahead, but Tallulah has great parents. She is sure to bask in their love. Not to mention the love of doting grandparents.

Time Matters

Almost every day there are terrible happenings. I'm sure you know about them.

But prayers continue, and hope remains. Small everyday things begin to mean a lot. Watering flowers, walking outside, finding a spot and purpose for this shelf  I've had for years, reading, sharing a meal, etc.

So glad to share another birthday with Nicolas. He's now fourteen and a freshman in high school. Time marches on.

Tallulah was fascinating to watch whether awake or asleep. Rocking and holding her during her hour long nap was very special. She will soon be six months old. Time is moving on.

I want to appreciate the hours of each day since time means so much to me now.

June Moments

Sometimes I desire to write and share, but other times I want to keep quiet. June is a special month for several reasons. First, it means our anniversary date rolls around. We have had thirty-two amazing years with both happy and sad times. Blending our families was a huge step for us because we had experienced the pain of divorce and didn't want to experience another failure. We are feeling very blessed on this anniversary.

Then there have been the fragile weeks of watching our newest granddaughter grow and develop through live video photos. We are looking forward to meeting and holding her in August.

Also our oldest grandson turned twenty-one on June nineteenth. It is mind blowing how fast a child grows up! I told him to cherish being 21, for it's a wonderful time in life and will not come again.

Then recently there was Father's Day with phone calls, messages, notes, and visits. Even though we couldn't all be together it was still a precious day.

There's no doubt that time is moving forward. Though I want more time and years I'm well aware there's no guarantee. So the goal is to greet each new day with gratitude and live it as fully as possible.

Sit A Spell

Sometimes I sit in my easy chair, put down the book I'm reading, and gaze at this side of the living room. I like this grouping of prints and will probably never change them. Sorry about the glare on the smallest print. If you came for a visit I would share this space with you.

During our visit I would talk about little Tallulah. Lauren shared this recent photo with me, and I wanted to share this sweet and happy face with you.

Recently I read a devotional that stressed four words. I found myself saying them over and over. I made an angel on an art journal page and added three of those words.

"God listens to our prayers and fulfills our needs and requests when we pray with trust, faith, hope, and confidence."

If you were sitting with me I hope we would discuss our hopes and dreams. I'd like for us to talk about any and everything...religious views, problems facing our nation, disappointments, joys, etc.

Well, our visit is coming to an end. Glad you came by.

Here Goes...

I have been wanting to write a post for days, but kept putting it off...thinking not much happening around here...there's so little to share. But here goes anyway.

Spending time outside with the flowers is always nice.

Little girls are the sweetest, especially the one in Austin, Texas.

 Tallulah Grace

Have a WONDERFUL week!
