Those would be granddaughters Tallulah and Etta. Being around them is good medicine for the body and soul.

Houseful
When Les and Pennee visit from Texas our house fills up fast with family. Our total was seventeen this time (Lester, Pennee, Kiera, Chloe. Lauren, Tallulah, Etta, Jo, Gunner, Micah, Nick, Lucas, Jason, Garrett, Chance, Corkey, and Me). Our den space became crowded as we all gathered together. Their visit was short, but Pennee, her girls, and I always try to squeeze in shopping at Abandoned Antiques. Lauren and her little ones even met us there.
Pennee and I shared photos to remember our shopping experience.

Priddy Farms
It was a perfect day for a visit to the pumpkin patch.
Lauren shared some of her photos with me, and I wanted to add them to the bottom of this post. Tallulah and Etta help me feel young even though I am aging fast. I love being with Lauren and watching her with the girls. She's so attentive, patient, and loving to them...just an amazing mom. Thanks, Lauren, for a wonderful Saturday in October.

In The Middle
It's already the middle of August, and I'm just now posting in this new month.
I'll let these random pictures speak for me today.

Easter Joys
Feeling blessed by Sunday worship, a shared meal, lovely weather, an Easter egg hunt, and precious granddaughters. Love that these photos reveal an occasion that will be a special memory.

Sweethearts
On Friday I gladly made my way to Lauren's house. She asked me to go with her to the girls' new school. Tallulah and Etta visited their classrooms and met their teachers. Lauren took these photos of the happy experience.
Their Grams was so proud of them as they mixed and mingled and smiled at staff members.
I'm also very proud of Lauren who has managed so much this past year without Justin. With the girls enrolled at the same school she'll have more time to handle her professional job.

Busy Week
Monday
I worked in the flowerbeds. Jo had given me three plants. The perennial required a good-sized hole so Corkey used a shovel to help me.
Tuesday
A beautiful gift arrived in the mail. My friend Mary made this gorgeous journal with the theme of books and reading. It's a work of art and certainly a treasure! When I get my nerve up I want to write inside it about the books that have touched my life.
Page after page has pockets with great quotes.
Wednesday
Lauren had asked me to come and help out with the girls since the day care was closed. Tallulah and Etta are precious granddaughters I get to enjoy.
Thursday
Corkey and I had an evening dinner with friends at Harry's Italian Restaurant. It was our first time to dine there. Food and service were excellent.
Friday
Time inside on this very hot day allowed me time to paint.
