A Form of Relaxation

...or maybe therapy. Getting out scissors and glue is very relaxing even at my age. There's something to be said for simple journaling.

Treasure hunting is also a way to relax.
There's such a vast assortment of stuff to browse.
I made one small purchase of a doll furniture table for four dollars and
have no idea how I will use it. I just liked it!

I'm staying in on this rainy Saturday. I look around and wish Chip and Joanna could transform this room for me. Oh well, it's home, and I'm thankful for it.

This Is It!

Come in and see that the den has a new look with a cleaner and brighter fireplace.

I'm still searching for an area rug for this room.

The grouping above the couch is not right yet.
Maybe one of these days the right pieces will come together. I also dream about one huge art picture on this wall and luxurious throw pillows.

cozy chair to watch...

...TV inside the cabinet

That's it...our room that seems new because of the fireplace change.

September begins...

We have added some new furniture to our den area and have been rearranging pieces in other parts of the house. The den room could use some additional accents...maybe an area rug, pillows, throw, or coffee table.

It was such a pretty day I decided Mother and I needed an outing. We looked at the nature gift shop items and sale plants at Oaklawn Garden Center.

Since it was the first of the month I stopped by the antique store to work on my booth. I sold a pair of old world globe bookends to a customer before I had a chance to take a picture. He seemed really happy to get them. He shared that globes and baseball cards were his favorites. Another lady came by and informed me that she usually looked at the jewelry in the booth and chose a necklace today. Friendly antique browsers made a nice day nicer. For this first day of September the weather was wonderful, and my mood was, too. Blessings to each of you, Sandy
