Little Library That's Special

 The stained glass window in the church library honors Corkey's parents. They were very active members, especially with the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

 I first shared pictures of the library space in October of 2019.

Corkey wanted one of my angel paintings for that room. 

The Rejoice angel is also in the library room.

 

These paintings may change from season to season or they might not.

I know I really want to paint angels again.

It's almost time.

Headed to the Library

The church library, that is. Charlotte, Pam, and I have met three times thus far to work on organizing books into categories and weeding out some copies.

The table under the stained glass window, the rolling book cart, and the two area rugs were obtained from the closing of Highland Heights Methodist Church in Memphis. These lovely pieces were saved, adding to the beauty of our small country church. 

We are still processing books into groups such as family, devotionals, fiction, historical fiction, reference, history, biographies, prayer, Bible studies, God and Jesus, children, teens, crisis, angels, etc.

My husband's parents were faithful members of this church. They led a youth group for many years. This library window was installed and dedicated in 1989 for their years of outstanding service.

October Moods

Whether inside or outside the colors of fall bring contentment.

Soon this bedroom will be changed. This bookcase has already been cleared of photo albums. They were transferred to the entry bookcase. 

Son Jo will take the desk/bookcase unit to his house. The antique bed will be stored for now. A bedroom suite from my mother's apartment will be in this room. We are trying to empty out the apartment for Les and Pennee. For several months they will need it as their new house is being built. Even my art nook will be moved to an area in the garage. Lots of changes are ahead.

 Took time yesterday to carve this year's jack-o'-lantern.

This ceramic jack-o'-lantern was given to me by my mom.

Sometimes I feel so strange and lonely without her.
