Hello. It is like summertime. Way too warm for the middle of March. However, it's nice to be outside with no need for a jacket. Our yard received its first mowing this week. Potted plants got some attention from my clippers. Happy to see new growth from last summer's vinca and spike plants.
I'm fond of this Victorian greeting card with its inside sentiment.
Spring by Frederick Walker
Daffodils are the happy flowers of spring and are seen in lots of places now.
Our yard has a few patches. There are abandoned ones on the roadside. There are clusters around trees. There are rows and rows of them. Daffodils are such a welcome sign of spring.
I've been making a few magnets over in the studio since I've sold down the number I had at the booth.
Visits to my mother are frequent but are becoming sadder and sadder. I hate what Alzheimer's has taken from her.
I remind myself to cherish this time with her even though my real true Mom is already gone. But her smile and voice are precious to me. We end every visit with a hug and a kiss and the words "I love you."
