I feel like I just got April back. Let me explain. Ever since April 1st I have been calling each weekday to find out whether or not I had jury duty. Well, on Monday I had to report in at the Federal Justice Building in Memphis. The selection of a 14-member jury for a criminal case took hours. Thankfully my name was never called. I don't believe I would have made a very good juror. For one thing my mind might have strayed to my mother. Her confusion is increasing. I try my best to ease her mind when I am with her. Just to be home today and not in a courtroom was blissful.
