More Magic Moments

Mother's Day was a lovely day with memorable moments. I won't go into all the details, but here are a few pictures about the day.

These last two photos were from Ryan. He sent a text message and did an Instagram tribute with his words and five surprise pictures, causing happy tears.

I still enjoy painting, especially flowers.

I should devote more time to the flowerbeds.

My love of keeping journals started back in high school, and I can't seem to stop.

I often wonder what will become of them after I am gone. I've even thought of destroying them myself. However, I love to read old entries when my parents were alive and well or when my children were small. I realize the past is over and done, but every now and then it's nice to take a backward glance.

Irises in April

Sharing a few iris blooms this morning...like them but I have other favorites.

 Wish other plants in flowerbeds would grow as well as irises. I have to pull up many iris roots.

Hope we can keep the flowers blooming on the front porch.

Easter Blessings, Sweet Memories

There are days that will stand out in your memories. Yesterday was one of those for me. It was a beautiful Easter Sunday.

Lauren strapped Etta to the highchair with the red tray so she could sit at the table.  It was her first time to join the family at the big table. That same highchair was used by Ryan and Lauren when they were small.

Lauren hid eggs with surprises inside for Tallulah. 

It was such fun watching her find them.

Time Well Spent

Love my time with these two granddaughters. So blessed that Lauren is a strong person and wonderful mother to these two precious girls.

 I am happy that March is giving us some warm days of sunshine. 

I believe spring will help everyone's mood.
