Houseful
When Les and Pennee visit from Texas our house fills up fast with family. Our total was seventeen this time (Lester, Pennee, Kiera, Chloe. Lauren, Tallulah, Etta, Jo, Gunner, Micah, Nick, Lucas, Jason, Garrett, Chance, Corkey, and Me). Our den space became crowded as we all gathered together. Their visit was short, but Pennee, her girls, and I always try to squeeze in shopping at Abandoned Antiques. Lauren and her little ones even met us there.
Pennee and I shared photos to remember our shopping experience.

Something I've Noticed
I have been blogging for a long time and have noticed that many of the blogs I once visited are no longer active. Death or health concerns have caused some to close. Every year I consider stopping my own blog.
I've also noticed that comments have stopped. I miss those.
Oh well, everything changes. That's another fact I've noticed.
I've noticed I no longer care about certain things I once thought were so important.
Life is not an easy ride, for there are numerous bumps and spills.
However, I'm thankful for the years I've been given.
Now to show something that made me happy. One of my angel paintings has a new owner.
My art space continues to be a favorite spot.
As much as I would like to change up furniture and other accessories, most stays in the same old places. I did move a deacon bench that was my mother's from the apartment to the side door entrance.

Belated Greeting
Hello February! Love that the snowy event is behind us. Finally patches and piles of snow are no more. Church was open on Sunday and everyone seemed very happy to be together again for worship and fellowship.
Valentine's Day is a few days away. I do very little decorating for this holiday. You may remember the items I'm about to show you from past blog entries.
I pulled out this magazine picture from my teaching days. Laminated years ago to keep it from tearing, it continues to remind me of those sweet school valentine parties.

Snow, Sleet, and Ice Event
This wintry mix made me appreciate HOME where it is warm. Thankfully we didn't lose electricity. Our son Jo made sure our gas fireplaces were ready in case we needed them.

Home Pleasures
January is moving right along so I thought it's time for a post. I have been trying to decorate a few corners since putting away Christmas decorations. Two antiquing finds have helped a little bit. The hatbox is storing leftover ribbon, flower corsages, and other bits and pieces for gift wrapping. The plant stand is sturdy and handy for my coffee cup.
The home furnishings are more or less back to normal. Changing up and testing out different decorative items will probably go on all month.

Decisions and Memories
With each new year I consider stopping my blog posts. But I find myself back at the keyboard sharing tidbits of life and photos that save memories. I have put away the Christmas decorations for 2025, but thoughts of that special time linger.
