One reason I haven't been blogging is because I'm tired of my own familiar thoughts, decorating, and surroundings. Although I love my home spaces, I get bored with them from time to time. I long for something different. However, at this point in my life there's no way to update or refresh completely. Thus, I switch objects and decorations around and just play with what I have.
I wonder if Aunt Geneva and Uncle Jim would be pleased with the way their house is now.
Sometimes I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the rooms.
I have gotten a few ministry cards ready as well as an inscription.
Next is a picture of Ms. Oma Jean. Lovely at 92, she was the first "Miss Millington" as a young woman. She spoke about a modeling course, the fashion trends in the fifties and sixties, her fashion shop business, and today's casual styles.
Plants on the front porch and in the garden are getting my attention. Also the birds that frequent our yard. May is showtime for irises. These are three of my favorites this spring.
Books also vie for my attention. Here are two recent selections.
Before I close this post, I wanted to show a small temporary change on my kitchen windowsill.
Here's to a new week and new possibilities.
