There is an art piece in Anna Corba's book I have liked for some time. I believe it hangs on a wall of her porch. The three pictures below are fr0m her book Paper Crafts.

Whimsical Art
Ideas often come from other artists. Thankfully they share techniques and styles in their books.

Pleasurable Days
SPRING IS HERE!
Signs of spring in our yard
Sweet frames from Goodwill
I found this metal planter at Goodwill, too. It had all three colors that are in the guest bedroom.
Never would I have paid thirty dollars for this book at a bookstore, but it's another bargain at Goodwill for three dollars. Eighteen designers are featured in this 2000 edition, including Rachel Ashwell and Carol Bolton. Yes, I sit and drool over some of the interiors, but there are ideas for the amateur decorator.

Hours of Pleasure
HELLO!
Happy to be back at the computer and typing out this post.
Happy to have had a long afternoon in the art room.
Cleaning up is not as much fun as using the paints and brushes.
Collage using old stationery pages in pale pastels
This one is still drying. May or may not add more to it.

Save Those Clothespins and Buttons
I found the one dollar white picture frame at Goodwill and added the small clothespin and button. Now photos, postcards, or notes can be changed
frequently. Pinterest, thank you for another cute idea!
I have it sitting in my studio space.
This is another little something over in the studio. It was a gift from my mother a long time ago.
Love that simple stamping and simple cutouts help achieve relaxing art. My visual notebook is filling up with pages of art techniques...some simple, some serious, some goofy.
two lovely words in the English language
So glad you came by.
March is making us notice the signs of spring.
Thank goodness!

Someone Else's Story
"I love the solitude of reading. I love
the deep dive into someone else's
story, the delicious ache of a last
page."

Yes, that's the way I felt as I was reading this book.
When I came across a large cardboard bin of sale books at Big Lots, I took a chance on two selections. With the recent winter chill this story allowed a pleasant escape. I liked that the setting was a small town in Tennessee. Past family secrets make their way into current affairs. The Woodburns are worth meeting.

More Winter
March storm causes a stay-at-home day.
Coffee and a good book are ideal companions.
Gunner, Nicolas, and Lucas are good little companions, too!
