This is true: Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.
Getting around to blogging is not as easy as it once was. But you know how much I enjoy sharing little things.

I bought this Welcome plaque on  my recent trip. For under two dollars I was happy to get this little piece for the guest bedroom.

Birds keep showing up in my decorating. The bird tag was sent to me by Pennee and Les. Why? Because they know how much I love images and replicas of birds. The tiny flower frog  is perfect for a postcard, note, or tag. What I really like about it is the heart-shaped wire.  

Fond of feathers, too! My grandmother's organ stool is beside the guest bed with books, drippy candle, and feather. 

Of course, it won't be long before I'll be changing things again.  Little things are easy to swap about...the joy of home nesting. 

Getting Away

Getting away for a few days is good for the soul. Mine anyway. Time with four girlfriends in the charming town of Frankfort, Kentucky, was just heavenly.

We toured the interesting Buffalo Trace Distillery and the beautiful Kentucky State Capitol. We visited Daniel Boone's gravesite overlooking the Kentucky River. Capitol City Museum, unique restaurants, and Peddler's Antique Mall were also part of our busy schedule. 

You can tell from our smiles that we had a grand time making new memories. One night we talked for hours, reminisced, and toasted "Friendship."

Thanks, sweet friends, for your visits to my blog. I haven't heard from you in quite some time. Are you still there?

This was such a fun experience. My daughter treated me to an evening session at an art studio where the instructor guides you through the painting process.

Our sweet and talented instructor was on hand to give assistance to everyone. Her suggestions helped us create "French Farm Houses."   

Our "masterpieces" will keep the memory of this shared art experience.

I have been busy with grandkids,  my mom, store booth, house, flowers, and more. But the main reason I haven't posted is because I keep getting a message about needing to purchase more photo space. I need to look into this. I admit I'm a real dummy about such things.
