A Week Later

Gee, having the tree and glittering ornaments gone is a bit strange...

We were blessed this Christmas with good times and special memories. Thank goodness, my cold bug waited until after Christmas to strike. With medicine and bed rest I began to feel better and was able to put away all decorations yesterday. Well, it's almost time to close the door on 2010...stepping into 2011 will take fresh resolve. I hope I'll be ready, strong, and able.

      Hope your Christmas was wonderful.
Wishing you a happy new year,
 Sandy

Merry Christmas

Well, it's almost here...this will probably be my last post before Christmas. Therefore, I wanted to be sure and wish you a very Merry Christmas. Thanks so much for coming by, and I hope you'll return soon. Blessings to you and yours,
Sandy

on the true meaning of Christmas)

Thursday Thoughts

For many they're having too much of a good thing. Snow is such a beautiful wonder of nature, but it can also be a dangerous winter weather condition. When snow and ice contribute to accidents and deaths, it's not so lovely and grand. I am saddened to think of those loved ones who won't be at the Christmas table.

Finding joy in little things is maybe the best way to live life. Someone I once knew and loved possessed this outlook on life. She endured many hardships but managed to find joy and contentment in simple pleasures.

Wishing you warmth, safety, and love ~ Sandy

A Special Print

I have been visiting lots of blogs and enjoying all the beautiful holiday displays.

To someone I owe a big "Thank You." This blogger offered the use of this old print that I dearly love.  I am afraid I cannot recall which blog had this picture; I do apologize for not giving a reference. Her generosity allowed me to print wallet sizes for gift tags and an enlargement for the oval frame.

Annual Parade of Ornaments

Every year it's a joy to bring out the ornaments. There's a person, place, or memory with each and every one. The Christmas tree becomes a storybook of one's life...at least it has for me.

Family News and Tree

Our grandsons Gunner and Nicolas stayed with us for two days while their mom and dad were at the hospital welcoming baby brother Lucas into the family. Lucas Benjamin arrived on December 8, 2010.

It's quiet in the house today without the chatter and energetic play of the little guys... may finish Christmas cards or write some pages in my journal...may just sit and rest. Have a joyful weekend. Sandy
