A New Memory

 We had an extra Christmas celebration in February. Lester arrived on Saturday with his family, and on Sunday we had a large family gathering for lunch. The photo below doesn't show everyone that was present, but the oldest and youngest were side by side at the dining table.

 Kiera and Chloe were eager to paint upon their arrival. First, it was rocks and then small canvas panels.

Meet Java. She loved all the attention.

And she is definitely soft as a teddy bear. 

She is adored by her Texas family...child #3.

Wish there had been more time to be together, but we squeezed in happy moments to remember.

Kiera and Chloe are growing up so fast. They are intelligent, creative, sweet, and funny. 

They gave Tallulah lots of attention and love. They gave her a box of toys they played with when they were small. The girls themselves got lots of gifts from their aunts and uncles. One gift set had wooden birdhouses to paint and decorate. Well, they painted those and presented them to me for my spring garden. 

 

Times Are Different

 The state of affairs in America and around the world is __________. You fill in the blank. I remember a time when the American way of life was calmer and brighter. 

This learning puzzle reminded me of those sweeter times. I carried puzzles, books, dolls, dance album, and a few other things to Lauren yesterday.

Corkey and Jason loaded this tall bookcase to take back to her also. She used it years ago in her kitchen space. I had it in my booth for several years. Then it was stored for a while in our shed. Next I brought it inside to try in the apartment bedroom, but it seemed too tall for the space. I offered it back to Lauren. Now it's back at her place, and I wonder if the kitchen or Tallulah's room will get it.

This is one spot that gets used a lot at our house. It's primarily a reading room.

Hello February

 Since February is such a short month, I thought I'd better post before it gets away. The news this week has been all about the weather. 

Inside is where I have stayed. Too cold, too icy for me.

So with all this time indoors I have been reading and creating art.
