The Pleasure of Home
Staying home has me making small changes, like this coffee table vignette.
One corner has stayed the same for a while. It's a favorite spot of mine due to Edward Hopper print, old trunk as end table, and vintage sewing machine drawer to hold loose photos.
I enjoy being home, but I miss flea market shopping. There are treasures out there waiting to be discovered. Oh well, for now I dream of how it used to be.

Lovely Nature
Whether a weed or flower nature has wonderful surprises.
Thought I'd hop on here and say hello. Our own yard has been a blessing in these trying times. We got the iron bench and chairs out of storage and placed them where we can enjoy the garden blooms and birds. Our other favorite place to sit and view nature is the swing. This period of isolation has helped us to appreciate our home and yard. But it's hard not being with family and friends.

Is It The Weekend?
My days have been running together ever since this pandemic hit daily life. In my younger days weekends were special, exciting, and fun. In my middle years Saturday and Sunday were welcome rest days from the work week. Now in retirement weekends are not as special as they once were.
This morning there were new iris blooms.
While I was outside I took this photo, too.
This week I did some painting on three 11"x 14" panels in order to pass time and feel creative.

Easing Into Another Week
I have filled three art journal notebooks.
Some pages were successes; some were failures.
Using loose paper I did the funny little birdhouses and the silly mixed media collage.
completed angel painting on canvas
Today's best news is that good friends came by, and we had an outdoor visit with social distancing. They also delivered two decorative objects to me in the wonderful color of green.
Not sure where the final resting place will be for the green pitcher.
I will probably try it out in several different places.
The latest green bottle went right to my windowsill collection.
Thankful for this beautiful spring day, dear friends, health, family, and all blessings, including this little blog. I enjoy coming here and sharing. Hope you enjoy your moments here, too.

Staying Home
Walks in the backyard reveal signs of spring.
Painting continues to be a relaxing activity for me.
Rachel Ashwell has been sharing video posts on Instagram.
She mentioned a poem in one of her books. So having that book I looked it up and decided to do an art journal page.
I want to praise nurses serving others in this virus crisis. On a recent night I lit this symbolic candle that belonged to my mother. She was an RN and knew the demands of that profession.

Come Inside
I have written about and shown you my art space many times. Well, here I go again. Come inside to one of my favorite spaces.
I added three more pages to my art journal.
