Two loves

I asked my husband to slow down so I could get a picture of this abandoned house.  Once it was a grand residence. Now it is neglected and decaying. We were driving through Henning, Tennessee, surveying the dilapidated condition of its main street. Almost all the storefronts are closed. There's no activity along the sidewalks. It saddens me to see the changes in this small town. But it's happening in so many southern places.

I'm working on another flower painting. It's almost finished.

Yes, photography and art are two of my loves.
So glad to have these hobbies.

I always thing of the house with the people who lived in it. Happy laughter, tears and wonderful
Christmas time in this home

It makes me so sad to see places like this. It could be
restored. It should be beautiful again. I, too, think of
the families that once lived there. It's so disturbing
to see lovely homes in ruins.
