Little things mean a lot at a nursing home.
We watched as it changed colors from red, yellow, green, to turquoise. Quite delightful!

Gee, I miss my ponytail days of long ago.
I've learned to accept myself...realizing that life is a journey of discovery.

I have a few more dreams.
Let's keep moving toward our dreams. Okay?

Searching for Small Treasures... what I did on Thursday. A friend and I took the day to browse three antique stores - two in Dyersburg and one in Ripley.

        sweet Staffordshire sugar bowl
USA white pottery vase with raised flower design
friendship quote on wood plaque
Then on Friday when stopping by Plantation Antiques to check my own booth, I spied a little napkin holder that was about to have a new job. Wow, what a difference after I cleaned it with silver polish!
It will be a desk accessory holding blank white index cards.

I enjoy searching for small treasures and finding a place for them in my home. I don't think I'm alone in this passionate pursuit for little things that delight. I saw many other shoppers intently looking for that special something.

Favorite Spaces

One of my Pinterest boards is titled Favorite Spaces. Just looking at the different places inside homes is satisfying. Here in my own home I have three nooks that bring me immense pleasure.

Keeping things organized in the art area can be a chore, for I tend to drag out supplies and make a lot of clutter.

A drawing on a Pinterest art journaling page gave me the idea to use a similar back pose for this canvas and to add WAITING at the bottom.

A small desk fits into this space and allows me to write at night.
Books, pictures, and art surround me in this space and provide lots of memories.

Well, those are my three favorite spots that I feel lucky to have. But after viewing these photos I think I need to work on reducing my clutter. However, because almost every object has a personal significance, it will remain.

That word was mentioned on a talk show recently, and the importance of pausing was discussed. It seems we all stay too busy trying to accomplish too much. We are in need of quiet moments.

These Ball jars are blue. Hoping to find some vintage green ones. Why, oh why, did I pass one up a couple of years ago? Haven't seen one since.

I had a request for tags. Hoping the ones I sent will lift that someone's spirit.
