Hi! True to my blog's name, today is going to be bits and pieces. Painting continues to relax me and take my mind off problems. I see art by other artists and am inspired to try out their ideas.
Mother's Day flowers, sweet notes, gift bag with pajamas, phone calls, visits, and PIZZA made my day extra special.

Container plants and battered old croquet set are on the patio.
Aging causes my energy level to be lower while wrinkles and sags have increased. I am thankful for my present health but do regret how I didn't appreciate my youthful looks when I had them. Life is weird that way. We worry about the wrong things.
This is one product I am going to recommend.
We live in an older house, and I've had to deal with stains, especially built up deposits. This works!
One reason I haven't been blogging is because I'm tired of my own familiar thoughts, decorating, and surroundings. Although I love my home spaces, I get bored with them from time to time. I long for something different. However, at this point in my life there's no way to update or refresh completely. Thus, I switch objects and decorations around and just play with what I have.
I wonder if Aunt Geneva and Uncle Jim would be pleased with the way their house is now. Sometimes I wish I had taken before and after pictures of the rooms.
I have gotten a few ministry cards ready as well as an inscription.
Next is a picture of Ms. Oma Jean. Lovely at 92, she was the first "Miss Millington" as a young woman. She spoke about a modeling course, the fashion trends in the fifties and sixties, her fashion shop business, and today's casual styles.
Plants on the front porch and in the garden are getting my attention. Also the birds that frequent our yard. May is showtime for irises. These are three of my favorites this spring.
Books also vie for my attention. Here are two recent selections.
Before I close this post, I wanted to show a small temporary change on my kitchen windowsill.
