Scenes From Home

Since I'm spending most of my days here at home, these are the familiar sights around here.

On some days I make it to the art room and play around with ideas.

I cut pieces from this art paper and glued them onto a mixed media piece.

Another mixed media

This idea with fall trees came from another artist.

When Halloween is over, I sure will miss this jack-o'-lantern that has kept me company in the kitchen.

Random

I have been immersed in the Baxter family saga ever since a friend introduced this series to me.

A few days ago I was in Covington to get my new license plate but also visited three shops on the square. This one sidewalk which I have written about before always stirs up old memories. (If interested, see post New Chapters, July 24, 2017... under memories label.)

Sure admired this piece of furniture but

only three small items came home with me... a tan pitcher, a pillow, and a basket.

I didn't plan to use the basket in this way, but a flameless wax candle had a surprising effect that I liked.

I stopped at a nursery on the way home. Mum prices were outrageous. I didn't need them that bad.

Still like my garden boy, especially when he holds a pumpkin.

A Quick Hello

The first two weeks of October were not too pleasant due to Corkey's carpal tunnel surgery. There were days of pain and discomfort plus many ice pack treatments to ease the swelling. Thankfully his hand is better and also his mood.

Tallulah's visit was a happy day. She liked the basket of wooden pumpkins but would not smile for pictures.

Will try to write more next time.
OCTOBER needs to slow down.
