Oh, how great to be with an old friend...to spend a few hours in each other's company...dining, talking, and shopping in Charlene's holiday paradise. Kaye and I met as young teachers and enjoyed many years as coworkers. We shared happy events like baby showers, our children's birthdays, and Halloween and Christmas events. We supported each other through rough patches as well. We formed a lasting friendship, and we pledged today to connect again soon.

So many have fallen away, I often wonder about there lives, and how they faired. Guess the saying is true, you have to be a friend to have a friend, and also, a friend is a gift you give yourself. How wonderful for you to have this lasting relationship.

Hi Beth, I have also lost connection with people I once considered friends. I still think about them and wish we could have maintained closer ties. I am very thankful for friends like Kaye. We share a past history of good and sad times. She helped me through a very painful period of my life, and I've always been so grateful. So nice to read your comment and know that you are well.
