The experiences of a winter wonderland snow make lasting memories.
I was much too young to remember this snowfall, but my mom made sure we had pictures taken in the snow.
The biggest snow for me occurred in 1963 in Memphis when I was in high school. A fourteen inch snowfall brought a White Christmas.
My brother and I worked on this one, and our mother helped us with the accessories.
A pond near our house on Parkrose Avenue froze solid, and I was fascinated by this picturesque scene and took these photos to capture it.
Fun times in the snow in Dyersburg
There have been other snows through the years, and the building of a snowman was always a top priority.
Granddaughter Telsey had help from Lester, Lauren, and me.
Another time Grandson Gunner recruited my help.
And so because of the January 2024 snow I have been recalling a few snow memories. The frigid temperatures will certainly be remembered with this snow plus getting to make snow cream.

I remember the snows when I was little. I can’t believe it snowed that much when you were in high school! And at Christmas time! I might have to make some snow cream tomorrow if I can get ahold of some milk.
